Sundesh provides health care facility to the villagers. The main aim is to empower villagers with essential knowledge which would enable them to lead a healthy life. Sundesh Health Team at SIRUC includes a medical officer, lab technician, Community Health Workers and Traditional Birth Attendants.

  • Health aid priorities includes:
    • General OPD at the center.
    • Pathological Testing Facility at the center .
    • Provision of essential drugs at the centre.
    • Health check ups through OPD's and camps in the villages.

  • Health Awareness programmes for Adolescents

  • Which includes talks on Health education such as prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases, HIV/AIDS, safe drinking water and sanitation, Proper Nutrition and health in schools and villages.

  • Health care for Women

  • Which includes issues such as identifying and addressing causes of poor reproductive health, ante-natal care, major causes of death and disability in women and Children, post natal care, motivating couples of reproductive age, increasing contraceptive prevalence, family planning, promoting gender equity, Immunisation etc.

  • Eye checkup camps for Senior citizens

  • In the villages where old age people are screened and referred to the Loin's Eye Hospital, NTPC Hospital and District Hospital for free eye operations.

  • Trainings

  • For Community health workers and Traditional birth attendants.

  • Awareness Programmes in the villages

  • On various health issues through group discussions, talks, counseling, rally, magic shows, exhibitions and posters etc .



  • Integrated Nutrition and Health Project (INHP-III)


  • Sundesh is implementing INHP-III with the aid given by CARE India. This project was started from July 1, 2007. The main objective of this project is to reduce Infant Mortality and Child Malnutrition (among 12-23 months old infants) in target villages of Uttar Pradesh state of India.

    Major activities under taken with this project are I.C.D.S. data analysis, joint visit of I.C.D.S. & Health care staff in the villages, increase in N.H.D, use of I.E.C. material during H.V. , Mahila Mandal Baithaks in the villages, PRI participation in AWC & NHD , cross visits by monitoring staff, regular maintenance of Survey register, Home visit diary, Birth & Death Register, Growth monitoring chart and Pregnant & Lactating mothers list; availability of Weighing Machine at every Angan Wari Centre, Angan wari workers & A.N.M meetings and to ensure appropriate supply of T.T. , Measles, D.T, ORS, I.F.A & other family planning material.

  • Reducing vulnerability of AIDS among migrant population (REVAMP)


  • Sundesh is implementing this project also with the Support of Care India.

    The objective of this project is
    • To increase awareness of HIV/AIDS, decrease risk sexual behaviour and create demand for services among migrants.
    • To establish a strong referral network of qualified and committed service providers.
