We help the villagers achieve a reasonable level of economic well being especially those who are below the poverty line. We are working towards empowering these villagers to manage and use the natural resources sustainably. Women folks are also encouraged to take up these income generation programmes.
To promote self-employment in the area, Sundesh provides need based training programmes such as Bee Keeping, Mushroom Cultivation, Food Preservation , Tailoring Training, Embroidery Training, and Mehandi Application.
- Bee Keeping
Sundesh provides technical training to the rural youth in the art of bee keeping. Sundesh also assist them in preparing project for getting financial assistance from KVIC or Local Gramin Bank, and also supports them in its implementation.
- Mushroom Cultivation
Sundesh organizes mushroom cultivation training camps in the villages . This activity does not require a large landholding or substantial financial resources. We also provide technical support to the youths .
- Food Preservation Training
Sundesh organizes food preservation training programmes in the villages. The trainers teach them to select and grade agricultural produce for the markets, how not to allow surplus produce to go waste and encourages them to preserve and sell surplus local produce to augment their income.
- Tailoring Training
The first center was set up in Nov, 1994 in Shoulana village. Today centers at Kamruddin, Dinanath Pur Puthi, Piyawali, Sikhera, Narayanpur and Chouna, are providing training to the village women. These trained women earn income by making bee belts, bags, aprons and workers uniforms.
Besides Cutting and tailoring women are also given training in machine embroidery.
- Flower Making
Sundesh provides 15 days training in Flower Making to the Rural women folks.
- Mehandi Application Training
Sundesh also provides one month training in Mehandi application to the Rural women folks.
