• Support for Bihar Flood Relief Programme

    Many NGOs and locals are helping people by providing food and shelter. While all of us cannot be helping people personally, we did our bit by raising funds for these marooned people of flood - affected regions of Bihar who are trying to escape the wrath of the overflowing rivers. All the generous employees of Sundesh and Sanjivani Self Help Group from Dhoulana Block , Uttar Pradesh have come forward and donated Rs. 17100 towards the flood relief work in Bihar through Ghaziabad District Magistrate Sh. Deepak Aggarwal.

  • Blood Donation Camp

    Sundesh employees donated blood in a Blood Donation Camp organized by U.P. State Aids Control Society at MMG (District Hospital) on October 1, 2008 on the occasion of "World Blood Donation Day". This was an activity organized under the project REVAMP (Reducing Vulnerability of Aids among Migrant Population) being implemented by Sundesh in Ghaziabad District with the support from Care India Trust.


  • Renewal of INHP-III & Visit of Regional Manager - CARE India

  • Sundesh is implementing Integrated Nutrition & Health Project (INHP-III) in Ghaziabad district with the support of CARE India. The activities related with the project were evaluated during the workshops held at Nainital (5th to 7th May 08) and Regional Office Lucknow (26th June) by a team from Head Office (Delhi) and Regional Office (Ghaziabad). After evaluation this project is renewed and shall be effective from 1st July 08 to 30th September 09.

    Ms. S Dutta, Regional Manager, CARE, Lucknow, evaluated the progress of the project during her visit on 23rd July 2008. She discussed the District Implementation Plan and Scope of Work (SOP) of the attendants associated with the project. She gave her expert inputs on technical intervention & reporting system.

  • Inauguration of new Cutting and Tailoring Centre

  • Sundesh has opened one new Cutting and Tailoring Training Centre for the rural women at village Sukhdev Pur of Dhoulana Block, Ghaziabaad District, UP. Core team members from Sundesh were present on the occasion. All the villagers assembled at the opening ceremony.

  • Training on Life Skills Education

  • Sundesh organised training for Master Trainers on "Empowering Out Of School Adolescents Through Life Skill Education" in association with Modicare Foundation & Rajiv Gandhi Foundation from May 12, 2008 to May 16, 2008. Further these 33 Master Trainers provided training to the other adolescents ("Training Of Peer Educators") from June 9, 2008 to June 13, 2008 at SIRUC and Tatarpur village of Gautam Budha Nagar, UP. The topics covered were life skills education, interpersonal relationships and communication skills, growing up issues, gender, responsible sexual behaviour and sexual abuse, reproductive & sexual health of adolescents and HIV/AIDS etc.

  • Tree Plantation

  • Sundesh organised Tree plantation drive on June 5, 2008 on the occasion of World Environment Day. Sundesh Team Members, Trainees, villagers, Self Help Group members, Village Pradhan, Panchayat Members and School Teacher planted saplings at Chouna village, Sundesh Integrated Rural Upleftment Centre and Saheed Smarak Asthal, Dhoulana.

  • International Women's Day Celebrations

  • Sundesh celebrated International Women's Day on 8th March at Sundesh Integrated Rural Upliftment Center (SIRUC) as a part of operational strategy and advocacy tool. The function was attended by Executive Council Members, Sundesh Volunteers, trainees of Sundesh skill development center, Members of Self Help Groups, Health volunteers, Village Pradhan and other key people from nearby villages and representatives from media, Bank, Prag Dairy and Ayurvet. Sundesh is committed for holistic development of the community and believe in the principle of Integrated Community Development Approach.

  • Eye checkup Camp

  • Sundesh organised Eye Care Camp at SIRUC, Chouna, Senior citizens were Screened for cataract operation and spectacles were provided by SUNDESH on concessional rate.

  • Exhibition at the Dabur Factory
    • Sundesh organized an exhibition at Dabur Factory, Sahibabad, U.P. The main aim for holding this exhibition was to make the people aware of the on going activities and show the products made by Self Help Groups formed by the society.
